Luminex Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines
Luminex (NAS: LMNX) reported earnings on April 29. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.11. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.08 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.11 for Q1 were 38% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.08 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.06 for Q1 against $0.08 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 71.3%, 200 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -2.9%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -4.7%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $54.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.10.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $224.3 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.43.
