Convergys Recognized at White House Ceremony Honoring Organizations That Have Supported U.S. Military Veterans and Military Spouses

Joining Forces Event, Hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, Recognizes Significant Level of Hiring of Veterans and Military Spouses by Convergys Last Year

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Convergys Corporation (NYS: CVG) , a global leader in customer management, will be recognized today at a White House ceremony honoring organizations that have delivered significant support to U.S. military veterans and military spouses.


Hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, the ceremony recognizes organizations that have exemplified the goals of Joining Forces, the comprehensive national initiative to mobilize all sectors of society to give service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.

In the case of Convergys, those opportunities came in the form of jobs. In 2012 Convergys hired 2,655 U.S. military veterans and military spouses.

Today's White House ceremony will be attended by Convergys' Lori Anne Davis, Director, North America Agent Recruiting and Sandra Stanley, Operations Manager. Sandra is from Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and has worked at Convergys since 2012.
