DeVry University Holds Tuition Rates

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- DeVry University, one of the largest private sector universities in North America, announced today that it is freezing tuition rates for the coming school year (July 2013 - June 2014).

"Throughout DeVry University's 82-year-history, we've strived to make quality, career-oriented higher education affordable and attainable for our students," said David J. Pauldine, president of DeVry University. "Given the continued economic challenges facing our country, we believe taking this step toward curbing the national trend of rising tuition costs is a prudent decision."

To further support its students, the institution will continue to offer a wide variety of scholarships. DeVry University awards eligible students millions of dollars in total tuition assistance annually, with more than $40 million in available funds for the 2012-2013 school year.

DeVry University's Technology Scholarship, for example, helps to both lower the overall cost of higher education and addresses President Obama's recent State of the Union call to "better equip graduates for the demands of a high-tech economy." Under this scholarship, DeVry University awards eligible students pursuing undergraduate degrees within the institution's College of Engineering and Information Sciences, College of Health Sciences, and College of Media Arts and Technology $2,500 per semester up to a total of $22,500 per student.

"We are committed to ensuring the high quality of a DeVry University education and remain committed to providing interested students with financial options to achieve their life and career goals," added Pauldine.
