Microsemi Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

EPS came in at $0.43. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.40 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.43 for Q2 were 6.5% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.46 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.03 for Q2 against -$0.06 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 56.7%, 250 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.7%, 170 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -1.2%, 70 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $242.5 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.46.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $977.1 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.90.
