Huntington Bank to Sponsor BGSU Center of Excellence Women's Leadership Forum

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Huntington Bank is sponsoring a women's leadership forum atBowling Green State University on Tuesday, April 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The event is co-hosted by BGSU's Center of Excellence - the Center for Developing Effective Business and Organizations.

Entitled, "Becoming a Woman of Influence," the event features a special lunchtime presentation by Betty Montgomery, Ohio's first female attorney general and state auditor. It will also include a keynote by speaker Amy Shore, senior vice president of field operations at Nationwide Insurance.

"Forums such as these give women a chance to learn from those who have reached executive positions, while giving women an opportunity to exchange ideas, share information and network."

Forum participants will also engage in a panel discussion with the opportunity to gain advice and insight from some of Northwest Ohio's most prominent women executives including:

  • Shelley Brazeau-Temple, Regional Vice President, Nationwide Insurance

  • Janet Hartley, Professor of Management, Bowling Green State University

  • Sharon Speyer, Regional President-Northwest Ohio, Huntington

  • Maryrose Sylvester, President and CEO, GE Lighting

This free event has already reached maximum reservation capacity. All participants will receive a copy of the book, "Women Don't Ask" by Linda Babcock, courtesy of Nationwide Insurance.
