HMS Holdings Misses on Both Revenue and Earnings
HMS Holdings (NAS: HMSY) reported earnings on April 26. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.15. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.18 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.15 for Q1 were 88% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.08 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.08 were the same as the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 33.4%, 300 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.1%, 180 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.0%, 60 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $133.9 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.22.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $568.4 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.97.
