For the quarter ended March 31 (Q1), IMAX missed estimates on revenues and met expectations on earnings per share.

EPS came in at $0.08. The 13 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.08 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.08 for Q1 were 33% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.06 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.04 were the same as the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 52.2%, 390 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 9.2%, 100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 5.7%, 100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $78.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.26.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $304.5 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.95.
