Autoliv Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $1.32. The 13 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $1.23 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.32 for Q1 were 15% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.56 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.29 for Q1 were 21% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.07 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 19.4%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.5%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 5.8%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $2.11 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.34.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $8.43 billion. The average EPS estimate is $5.60.
