Comcast Names Shawn Adamson Vice President of Commercial Business Services for the Mile High Region

Adamson will lead implementation of Comcast's broad range of commercial services in the region, including Metro Ethernet for businesses with sophisticated networking requirements and bandwidth demands

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Comcast Corporation, one of the nation's leading providers of information and communications products and services, announced that Shawn Adamson has been named Vice President of Commercial Business Services for the Mile High Region.


As Vice President of Commercial Business Services, Adamson will lead Comcast's expanding portfolio of business solutions and services, including Metro Ethernet, which provides mid-sized enterprises with secure, reliable and high-performance fiber networks that offer more scalable bandwidth and significantly higher speeds from 10Mbps to 10Gbps solutions. She also oversees the in-market introduction of Upware a simple to use, cloud-based marketplace stocked with applications from Comcast and partners to meet a range of business needs including data backup, data security and collaboration tools from industry-leading companies including Box, Carbonite, DigitalSafe, Microsoft, Mozy, Norton, Soonr, Websense and YouSendIt.

Adamson brings in more than 18 years of management experience in sales and operations. She most recently served as Vice President of Sales for FatPipe Networks in Salt Lake City, where she consistently grew and delivered top sales results which included increasing the company's quarterly revenue year over year, including closing the second largest sale in the company's 12-year history. Prior to her role at FatPipe, Adamson served as Regional Vice President for the XO Communications' West Region, which included Colorado. In this role, she led the sales, marketing, service, and delivery of voice, data, cloud, and IP communications services to all XO West Region business customers.

Adamson has been honored and recognized for many awards including one of Utah Business Magazine's30 Women to Watch, Trustee of the Year from Utah's Technology Industry and Technology Trailblazer from the Women Tech Awards. Adamson and her family have relocated to Denver from Salt Lake City.
