The Sims 3 expands with Island Paradise, Movie Stuff, and Dragon Valley

Updated

Back in February, EA released some of the first details surrounding the next expansion set to launch in The Sims 3: Island Paradise. This week, we've learned even more about this tropical release, as the expansion has been given a release date of June 25.

Island Paradise will allow players to build and manage their own tropical resorts, earning money for their Sims in the process. Of course, running a resort won't be as simple as just opening the doors to your guests and then walking away, so players will need to impress their resort guests while managing their money and making sure their attempts to impress and please don't also break the bank.

Outside of resort management, The Sims 3: Island Paradise also allows gamers to live in houseboats out on the water, dive underwater to explore reefs and new areas, travel to new islands and more. Those that purchase the Limited Edition version of Island Paradise will even receive the Island Survival Pack, a series of content that gives players everything they need to survive on a deserted island.

Aside from this Island Paradise info, we've also learned about The Sims 3: Movie Stuff, a new expansion that will launch in September. This pack will contain a variety of whimsical items from genres like Western and Horror movies. Finally, The Sims 3: Dragon Valley will launch later this year. This world comes with new locations, exclusive clothing and objects for your Sim, along with an adorable baby Dragon!

More info about all of these expansions will be released in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned for more!
