Sales of Avnet Electronics Marketing's ZedBoard Development Kit Near 2,500 Units

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that sales of the commercial version of ZedBoard, a community oriented development kit for the Xilinx, Inc. (NAS: XLX) Zynq™-7000 All Programmable (AP) SOC, approached the 2,500 mark.

Originally released in July 2012, ZedBoard is ideal for designers and students who are interested in exploring and prototyping their application ideas for the Zynq-7000 AP SOC architecture. The ZedBoard kit includes the ZedBoard, power supply, USB cable, and pre-configured SD card containing a bootable Linux reference design. ZedBoard.org hosts additional user created reference designs and projects, enabling the community of Zynq-7000 AP SOC designers to collaborate and share design ideas.

The commercial version of the ZedBoard is available from Avnet for $395; the academic version for qualified students is available from Digilent for $319.
