Kemper Corporation Announces Andrea James as President, Kemper Preferred
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kemper Corporation (NYS: KMPR) announced that effective April 15, 2013, Andrea James has been named President, Kemper Preferred, the business focused on selling packaged private passenger auto and home policies through independent agents. Prior to this role, James joined Kemper Preferred as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, responsibilities she will retain. She will continue to report to Denise I. Lynch, Property & Casualty Group Executive, Kemper Corporation.

James joined Kemper Preferred in May 2012 and brought with her more than 20 years of industry experience. She has worked on the agency side as well as the insurance company side. Prior to joining Kemper, James worked at Fireman's Fund, where her most recent position was Senior Vice President/Distribution Executive. Prior to that, she served as Vice President, National Sales Leader. She has also held senior leadership roles at Bank of America and Allstate.
James graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature, is a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Certified Financial Consultant.
