OMVS Seeks Out New Innovations to Better Serve Executive Business Travelers

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As part of its initiative to fill underserved niches in the online travel industry, On the Move Systems Corp. (OTCBB: OMVS) is working to develop new innovations to better serve some of the world's most frequent fliers: executive business travelers.

Business travel is thriving in 2013. The Global Business Travel Association reports that the industry will beat projections by expanding to $268.5 billion this year—a five-percent increase over 2012. The association expects companies to send their employees out on the road a lot more as the year wears on, even to conventions and meetings that were avoided during the economic downturn.

"With the fundamentals of the economy improving, executives and businesspeople are once again taking the skies in record numbers," says OMVS CEO Patrick Brown. "No one else spends so much time traveling, and no one else is more familiar than these people with the inefficiencies and hassles of travel booking."

Now, OMVS is seeking out new innovations in technology and customer service to build online solutions for underserved niches in the travel market, including executive business travelers. This year, a third of all travel sales around the globe will be booked online, according to a report by the travel research company PhoCusWright. Online bookings are growing twice as fast as the total travel market. That growth could lead to big opportunities for OMVS.

OMVS plans to market and develop new solutions that will allow the company to compete in the online travel market alongside Priceline.com (NAS: PCLN) , TripAdvisor.com (NAS: TRIP) and Expedia.com (NAS: EXPE) .
