ChefVille 'The Cherry on Top' Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

It looks like the "Countdown" feature is going to be a big thing going forward in ChefVille, as the ending of the Spring Countdown has led to the launch of the new Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown. This Countdown is separate from the dishes that need to be cooked in the many quests in the Cherry Blossom Festival Ribbon Event, and this Countdown itself comes with a series of new quests called "The Cherry on Top." We're here with a guide to helping you finish these first four quests, with help from Zynga. Let's get started!

Squid Pro Quo

  • Place the Cherry Blossom Booth

  • Have Squid Yakitori Unlocked

  • Cook 5 Squid Yakitori

The Cherry Blossom Booth is a new appliance that comes pre-built. To cook your first dish, you'll need to collect Fresh Squids from friends via general news posts placed on your wall. This Squid collection also happens to be the first required task in the Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown. You'll need to collect six Squid in all to "finish" the first day's task. A new task will roll out each day for the next 12 days, and if you can complete them all within a limited amount of time, you'll receive the Cherry Blossom Tree for your restaurant.

For this Squid Yakitori, however, you'll need to cook the dish using two Fresh Squids, one Salt, and two Onions per five-minute batch. Completing this first quest gives you two Salt, 15 XP, and 25 coins.

A Sour Note

  • Have Grilled Shishito Peppers Unlocked

  • Give Chef's Service with Squid Yakitori 5 Times

  • Serve Grilled Shishito Peppers 5 Times

The Shishito Peppers correspond with the "Day 2" task inside the Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown. To unlock that dish, you'll need to collect six Shishito Peppers via individual requests sent directly to your neighbors. As for the dish itself, Grilled Shishito Peppers can be prepared using two Shishito Peppers, three Lemons, and two Mushrooms. The dish takes five minutes to prepare. Completing this quest gives you three Onions, 15 XP, and 25 coins.

Born to Be Wild

  • Have Roasted Kabocha Unlocked

  • Harvest Onions 5 Times

  • Have 1 Mastery Star for Roasted Kabocha

The Roasted Kabocha dish must be cooked six times to earn the first Mastery Star, and you can cook this dish using three Onions, one Pepper, and two Kabocha per five-minute batch. Of course, you'll need to first collect this Kabocha in bulk as part of the Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown to actually unlock this dish for cooking in the first place.

As for the Onions, you might try tending your friends' Onions first, to see if you can save your own energy by completing the task that way. When you complete this quest, your rewards are two Eggs, 25 XP, and 25 coins.

Egg on Your Face

  • Have Mitsuba Wrapped Omelette Purse Unlocked

  • Tend 6 Neighbors' Milk Trucks

  • Have 2 Mastery Stars for Mitsuba Wrapped Omelette Purse

The Mitsuba Wrapped Omelette Purse is unlocked by collecting Mitsubas in bulk via requests to your friends, but you won't actually be able to request this ingredient until its matching day in the Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown has rolled around. If you're looking to get ahead of the game, you can pay Chef Cash to unlock some days' tasks early, but that's a pretty expensive option, all things considered.

The very first Mastery Star of this dish is earned after cooking the dish four times, and of course, you'll need to cook it more times to reach the second Mastery Star after that. The dish is prepared using two Mitsubas, three Eggs, and four Milk. This particular dish takes 15 minutes to prepare. When you finish this final quest in this first Countdown series, you'll receive a Salt, 25 XP, and 50 coins.

Again, these are just the first four quests to be released in the Cherry Blossom Festival Countdown, so stick with us as we'll bring you complete guides to finish the rest of the (apparently) eight quests that launch between now and the end of this overall event.
