In the following video, Motley Fool energy analyst Taylor Muckerman takes a question from a Fool follower on Facebook, who asks: "What is your opinion on Molycorp ? Should I take my loss and sell?"

Here's a hint: 2013 could be friendly to Molycorp investors in the latter half of the year. Automotive demand continues to climb, as evidenced by Ford's strongest March in six years. This should help push inventories lower and allow prices to pick up as Molycorp's new CEO expects them to.


Multiple mining stocks have been battered lately, but not many as badly as Cliffs
Cliffs Natural Resources has grown from a domestic iron ore producer into an international player in both the iron ore and metallurgical coal markets. It has also underwhelmed investors lately, especially after its dramatic 76% dividend cut in February.
