Littelfuse Selected as One of the Best Places to Work in Illinois

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Littelfuse, Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, today announced it has been named one of the 2013 Best Places to Work in Illinois. The awards program began in 2006 and is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, and managed by Best Companies Group.

"It is truly an honor to be recognized along with other leading companies in Illinois in the Best Places to Work ranking. The positive feedback from Littelfuse associates highlights our efforts to continuously support their professional development and make Littelfuse a great place to work," said Gordon Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Littelfuse. "The growth and success of our company is a result of the contributions and expertise of our associates. They are the face of Littelfuse to our customers each day and we truly appreciate their hard work and dedication."

This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. The 2013 Best Places to Work in Illinois list is made up of 35 companies in the small/medium-sized list (15-249 U.S. employees) and 25 companies in the large-sized list (250+ U.S. employees).

The Best Places to Work in Illinois ranking was determined by a two-part process. The first part consisted of evaluating workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. Best Companies Group managed the process, analyzed the data and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.

On May 16, Littelfuse will be recognized and honored, and the final ranking will be announced at the Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony, coordinated by The Daily Herald Business Ledger. Littelfuse will also be profiled in a special publication by The Daily Herald Business Ledger on June 24.
