"This is an exciting day for Frontier as we bring low-fares and friendly service to the convenient Wilmington/Philadelphia Airport, providing time-and-money-saving options to customers in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland," said Daniel Shurz, Frontier's senior vice president, commercial. "Customers who fly Frontier from Wilmington/Philadelphia can skip congested and expensive alternative hubs in the region and enjoy quick, convenient, low-fare travel to great destinations."

"We hope Delawareans will take advantage of the convenience of having an airline service so close to home," said Governor Jack Markell. "Bringing this new business to our state is a welcomed economic opportunity to provide new travel options for Delawareans."

"Commercial passenger air service in and out of Delaware is something we've been without for far too long," U.S. Senator Chris Coons said. "This is exciting news. The convenience and value that Delawareans will enjoy by having a full-service airline in New Castle County is significant, reducing travel time on the ground and ticket costs in the air. I'm grateful that Frontier has chosen to invest in Delaware and look forward to taking advantage of this new opportunity."

"Now is the perfect time to bring commercial air back to Delaware," said Congressman John Carney. "The New Castle County Airport is a convenient option for travelers in the Mid-Atlantic region, and provides easy access to the businesses and attractions located in Delaware. This project is also a boost for the economy that brings quality jobs for flight attendants, ground-handling employees, and maintenance technicians. I'm excited to see travelers once again flying into and out of New Castle County Airport."

"We are pleased to welcome Frontier Airlines to Wilmington and low-fare, quality service for the residents of the Delaware Valley region," said Stephen Williams, Airports Director for the Delaware River and Bay Authority, operators of New Castle Airport. "With its location and airfield characteristics, New Castle Airport is ideally positioned to be a growth catalyst for the area. We believe Frontier's decision to schedule daily flights here illustrates the airport's appeal to the aviation community."
