Injustice: Gods Among Us brings superheroes to mobile for free

While fighting game fans have a lot to be excited about in Injustice: Gods Among Us, mobile game fans have something to look forward to as well, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the launch of the Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game on iPhone and iPad.

The Injustice iOS game is centered on card collection, as players can head into 3-vs-3 battles using the game's superhero icons like Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, and many more. While the mobile version of the game can be played as a standalone experience, gamers that own the console version of the upcoming fighting game will be able to unlock content for their PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game by playing on their iOS device of choice.

"The team at NetherRealm Studios created a custom mobile experience for Injustice: Gods Among Us on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that delivers gameplay mechanics created specifically for the platform" said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios, via a company release. "We're excited to offer fans a new way to play fighting games that can be enjoyed alone or as a companion experience to the console versions."

The Injustice: Gods Among Us iPhone and iPad app is now available to download for free, while the console game will roll out later this month.
