Boeing Books 209 Net Commercial Plane Orders in 2013
On Thursday, Boeing (NYS: BA) released its latest report on airplane orders received -- and canceled -- in the first three months of 2013.
To date, the aerospace giant has booked:
156 "gross" orders for various flavors of its 737 regional airliner
Three 747 orders
19 for the 777 airliner
42 orders for its troubled 787 Dreamliner.
From this total, Boeing subtracted three 737s and eight 777s for customer cancellations, resulting in a net of 209 commercial airplanes ordered year to date.
Boeing shares climbed 0.7% in response to the news Thursday, closing at $84.95.
