Boeing Books 209 Net Commercial Plane Orders in 2013

On Thursday, Boeing (NYS: BA) released its latest report on airplane orders received -- and canceled -- in the first three months of 2013.

To date, the aerospace giant has booked:

  • 156 "gross" orders for various flavors of its 737 regional airliner

  • Three 747 orders

  • 19 for the 777 airliner

  • 42 orders for its troubled 787 Dreamliner.

From this total, Boeing subtracted three 737s and eight 777s for customer cancellations, resulting in a net of 209 commercial airplanes ordered year to date.


Boeing shares climbed 0.7% in response to the news Thursday, closing at $84.95.
