Farmer Brothers Appoints New CFO

Updated

Farmer Brothers has a new top financial executive. The company has appointed Mark Nelson to its CFO and treasurer positions, effective April 15. He will initially be assisted by, then replace, interim Treasurer and CFO Jeffrey Wahba.

Nelson was previously employed at engineering concern Newport, where he had been chief accounting officer and corporate controller since 2010. He began at that firm in 2004, and held several senior financial positions in various units of the company.

Farmer Brothers quoted its CEO Mike Keown as saying that Nelson "joins us at an exciting time in our growth, bringing his invaluable leadership skills, experience and enthusiasm to lead our finance organization."
