Vermont DMV Announces New Online Service forMotorcycle Riders

Secure online registrations for training classes create efficiency and convenience for motorcyclists in the state

MONTPELIER, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles recently announced the launch of a new online service that enables motorcycle enthusiasts to register for motorcycle training classes throughout Vermont and pay securely via credit card over the web. The new service was launched on March 1st and processed nearly 350 new motorcycle registrants in its first month.


"The Vermont DMV is committed to safety on our roads and convenience to our customers, and this new online service for motorcycle training courses reinforces both of these important commitments," said Commissioner Robert Ide.

The new service, developed in conjunction with the state's eGovernment partner Vermont information Consortium, is the latest in a comprehensive suite of online services brought forward by the DMV in recent years; other online services include DMV Express, License Reinstatement, 72 Hour Truck Permitting (IRP-IFTA), and Motor Vehicle Record retrievals.
