Apple to Release Q2 Earnings April 23

Updated

Mac maker Apple will announce fiscal-second-quarter 2013 results on April 23 after the market closes, the company has announced. Following last quarter's plunge, investors will want to mark their calendars for Apple's release. The company plans to conduct a conference call to discuss the results at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on April 23.

Apple has changed the way it provides guidance in an effort to be more honest and transparent. The Mac maker expects revenue in the range of $41 billion to $43 billion, with gross margin of 37.5% to 38.5%. Operating expenses should be $3.8 billion to $3.9 billion.

Street analysts have expressed fears that the company may miss its own revenue guidance as well as consensus estimates.
