Conolog Corporation Appoints Michael Horn as CEO

SOMERVILLE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Conolog Corporation (OTCQB: CNLG) ("Conolog"), a pioneer in solving the complex communication challenges of the US military, electric utilities, and fiber optic communication service providers, announces the appointment of Michael Horn as Chief Executive Officer. In this position, he will be responsible for setting the global direction and commercial strategy, as well as for transforming Conolog into a sales and marketing-driven organization. Prior to being named CEO, Mr. Horn served as Corporate Vice President and Secretary, and he has been a member of the Board of Directors since August 2011.

Mr. Horn joins Conolog from Cyber X Designs, LLC ("CXD"), where he directed all Business Development efforts and was responsible for new market strategies, direct sales, business strategy, and executive growth and development. Prior to joining CXD, Mr. Horn held a number of leadership positions in the information technology industry, including Chief Executive Officer, AccountMate Software (A Division of Softline, N.A.) and Chief Executive Officer, MIBAR Computer Services, a value added reseller and developer of software. In 2002, Mr. Horn became Managing and Operating Partner of VAR Direction LLC, Inc., a management and financial consulting firm.

"In this time of increased focus on developing, deploying and supporting innovative fiber optic protective relaying communication and monitoring solutions, Mr. Horn's experience in both setting commercial strategy and building effective marketing and sales teams, will ensure Conolog evolves beyond its legacy as an engineering-focused organization", said Marc Benou, Conolog President. "Mr. Horn's leadership will be of tremendous value as we move to greatly enhance the sales and marketing efforts behind our first-in-market fiber optic solutions. With his guidance, both GlowWorm and Fidra have the potential to become new standards in passive fiber signal monitoring and multifunction relay-to-relay fiber optic control and monitoring."

Regarding his appointment, Mr. Horn said, "Conolog Corporation (d/b/a Iniven) has a storied history of engineering solutions to the complex communication challenges of electric utilities and fiber optic service providers, and I look forward to building on, and extending, this legacy by transforming the corporation into a more sophisticated commercial organization. In the coming months, we will take steps to establish Commercial Brand Teams for GlowWorm and Fidra, and a New Product Development Team to handle our emerging technologies. My goal is to foster a more dynamic environment for sustainable growth, by integrating and complimenting the outstanding engineering talent with fresh marketing and sales support."

Mr. Horn's appointment was officially disclosed on February 5, 2013 upon the filing of a Form 8-K with the United Stated Securities and Exchange Commission, which is available on the SEC website.

About Conolog

Established in 1968, Conolog Corporation (OTCQB: CNLG) specializes in solving complex commercial and military communication challenges other companies can't support. As a pioneer in Hi-Reliability Communication Equipment and components, Conolog has custom-engineered solutions that helped drive the success of some of America's largest corporations and institutions. Leveraging our early success, Conolog Corporation emerged as a major supplier of filters, oscillators, and frequency discriminators for manufacturers of telemetry systems for electric, transit, renewable, and water/wastewater utilities.

In 1980, Conolog acquired INIVEN, an electronics manufacturer making FSK (frequency shift keyed) audio communication equipment. Backed by a legacy of innovation and custom-engineering success, Conolog set out to establish INIVEN as the innovator in protective relaying and monitoring solutions. As a Division of Conolog Corp., INIVEN emerged as a leading supplier of FSK telemetry equipment (GEN 1, 98 Series FSK Tone Telemetry System), and was the first to introduce DSP (Digital Signal Processing) teleprotection solutions (PTR-1000). Today, INIVEN continues the Conolog tradition of solving complex communication challenges for electric utilities, fiber optic communication service providers and the US military. As an innovator in protective relaying and monitoring solutions, INIVEN engineers custom-configured communication equipment ranging from fully digital high speed transfer trip communications for use in electric power transmission pilot protection schemes (PDR-2000), original fiber optic solutions including passive fiber signal monitoring (GlowWorm) and active control of fiber network communication (Fidra). INIVEN and Conolog Corporation are committed to helping customers maximize the security and reliability of their network infrastructure.
