Updated

AT&T is providing more opportunities for customers to grab one of Amazon.com's popular Kindle tablets. This coming Friday, April 5, the telecom operator will begin retailing the Fire HD 8.9" 32GB model in a number of its outlets. This is one of the high-end models in Amazon's current generation of Kindles. Among numerous other features, it boasts 4G connectivity.

AT&T's Kindle will sell for $399, like it does on Amazon. Discounts up to $150 will be available for a limited time to customers who sign up for a two-year data plan to connect the device. In the press release announcing the news, the company did not specify how limited that time would be.
