PopCap celebrates one year of Solitaire Blitz fun on Facebook

One year ago, PopCap launched Solitaire Blitz into the virtual waters of Facebook, bringing card game fun to players that might not "even like" card games. Now one year later, the developer is celebrating the game's first birthday with a sale and freebies for gamers.

As part of this "Happy Splash-a-Versary" event, PopCap is giving all players a pack of 25 free Mines. To claim these Mines, you'll need to jump into the game on Facebook and look for an anniversary banner at the top of the screen (note: if you have an ad-blocker activated, it likely won't show up). Just click on this banner to receive your free Mines, which explode a full row of cards when activated.

In addition to these freebies, you can purchase packs of Silver coins for 30% off the normal purchase price. The $10 bundle, for instance, now gives you 200,000 Silver for just $6.93 US. These prices won't be around forever, so if you're in the market for some Silver coins anyway, now is definitely the time to pull out that wallet.
