OMVS Scouts New Opportunities in Growing $300 Billion Online Travel Industry

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The $300 billion global online travel industry is a tempting growth prospect that could soon prove full of opportunity for On the Move Systems Corp. (OTCBB: OMVS), says CEO Patrick Brown.

In big, developed markets such as the U.S. and Europe, booking travel tickets online is becoming the preferred method for both business and leisure travelers, and the trend is spreading fast. This year, a third of all travel sales around the globe will be booked online, according to a report by the travel research company PhoCusWright. Online bookings are growing twice as fast as the total travel market.

This unprecedented trend presents incredible opportunities for OMVS, Brown says, beginning with the markets and transportation that the big players in the industry have ignored.

"Not only are there big emerging markets such as South America and the Middle East that are clamoring for the kind of services that Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia and others are providing in the U.S., but there are transportation options that are likewise not served by these companies—land, sea and air," he said. "Additionally, new technologies such as mobile apps and cloud computing are changing the marketplace, making 2013 the ideal time for OMVS to get into this booming industry."

With the online travel segment representing nearly a third of the trillion-dollar global travel market, OMVS views the segment as an exciting path forward to growth and profitability for our company."

OMVS plans to market and develop new solutions that will allow the company to compete in the online travel market alongside (NAS: PCLN) , (NAS: TRIP) and (NAS: EXPE) .
