World of Tanks come to mobile in World of Tanks Blitz

Updated

Wargaming's military action MMO World of Tanks has more content than you can shake a stick at, but if you're interested in playing a slightly more streamlined version of the game when you're on the go, you'll be able to do just that with the upcoming mobile MMO World of Tanks Blitz.

World of Tanks Blitz is coming soon to both Android and iOS tablets and smartphones, and it will include units and content from a variety of different nations, just as the main PC game offers. Vehicles like tanks, destroyers, and more will be available representing the USA, Germany, the USSR and others, with each unit coming with its own special abilities and unique stats. As you might expect, controlling these mechanical beasts will require little more than a tap or slide of the thumbs / fingers to control.

"With World of Tanks Blitz we're doing our best to give players a gaming experience that would rival anything they could find on a console," said Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming, via a company release. "We've always been committed to bringing World of Tanks to new platforms and we're excited to give players a chance to experience the game in a whole new way."

World of Tanks Blitz is set to offer 7vs7 multiplayer battles that will test each gamer's understanding of military tactics and their ability to execute their strategies. While there's no official release date for World of Tanks Blitz as of this writing, we do know that the game will be free-to-play on both Android and iOS. We'll bring you more information on World of Tanks Blitz as soon as we know more, so stay tuned!
