LogMeIn Wins Patent Case

Updated

LogMeIn has prevailed in a patent infringement lawsuit. A federal court in Virginia determined that the company's offerings don't infringe on a patent held by the Canada-based company 01 Communique. The latter's suit alleged that LogMeIn's means of providing remote access to a PC was too close to its own remote access service.

In a short press release announcing the decision, LogMeIn quoted CEO Michael Simon as saying that the company will "continue to vigorously defend patent lawsuits, and we will not succumb to attempts by litigious parties to profit from our ongoing investments in innovation."
