Experienced senior-level human resources exec joins Scripps Networks Interactive leadership team

Dennis Shuler named executive vice president of human resources; Held leadership roles with Kellogg, Disney and Procter & Gamble

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dennis W. Shuler, an experienced senior-level human resources executive with an extensive background in organizational design and talent development, has been named to the executive management team at Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. (NYS: SNI) as head of human resources.

Shuler will join the company as executive vice president of human resources effective May 1.

Shuler comes to Scripps Networks Interactive from Kellogg Company where he was chief human resources officer and a member of the company's executive leadership team. Prior to Kellogg, he was the chief human resources officer for The Walt Disney Company. His experience also includes 23 years in global operations at The Procter & Gamble Company where he held key human resources and business unit leadership roles. He was based in London for six years during his tenure with Procter & Gamble.

In academia, Shuler serves on boards at four universities. He is a member of the Board of Visitors at The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa; he is a visiting professor and Advisory Board member at Durham University at Durham in the United Kingdom; he is a member of the Marriott School of Business Human Resources Advisory Board at Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah; and, he serves on the Business Advisory Council at Kansas State University at Manhattan, Kansas.

Shuler earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Oswego and a master's degree in human resources, industrial relations, from the University of Alabama.
