2K, Firaxis unleash zombies and vampires on iOS in Haunted Hollow

Updated

While 2K and Firaxis recently announced the closure of CivWorld on Facebook, the pair are now back with some much more exciting news, as we've been given the first details surrounding an upcoming free-to-play strategy game called Haunted Hollow. Haunted Hollow will be released on iOS devices later this Spring, but here's what we know so far.

Haunted Hollow will allow players to take over and run a mysterious haunted mansion, raising military units like vampires, zombies, mummies, witches, and reapers. These monsters will be able to dive into head-to-head battles against your enemies, scaring the game's virtual townsfolk in the process. Of course, the game's citizens aren't going to take an infestation of killing machines sitting down, so you'll need to watch out for angry mobs as well.

From the game's first screenshots, it looks as though we'll be able to control the mansion in Haunted Hollow room by room, with each room having a different theme and likely a different purpose. We do know that monsters can be powered up over time to make our armies stronger, and that we'll be able to choose from a variety of architectural styles to give our mansions a unique look (Lost Temple and Mad Scientist themes, as examples).

While single-player battles will be available, Haunted Hollow will also offer pass and play multiplayer on a single device as well as the ability to challenge friends via Game Center integration. Stick with us for more on Haunted Hollow as 2K and Firaxis announce more in the coming weeks.
