Google+ Upgrades iPhone App With Photo-Editing Enhancements

Updated

Google has added its Google+ photo-editing enhancements to the Google+ iPhone app and changed other key features on its Android app.

The enhancements come after Google's September acquisition of photo-editing app Snapseed. Similar to Snapseed, Google+ iPhone users can now perform basic edits such as rotating and cropping, adding filters, and adjusting saturation, contrast, and brightness. Those who have used Facebook's Instagram may notice similarities between these photo products.

On Android, the Google+ team has updated the app's content stream. Posts now include more text up front from the original message and from comments. Images will rarely be cropped, and users can swipe through photo albums in line.

The updated apps are available for download on iPhone and Android.
