It's Trolls vs Vikings in Megapop's first iOS tower defense game

While trolls are often looked at as villains, in Megapop's debut iOS game, Trolls vs Vikings, it's actually the trolls that are the good guys. Trolls vs Vikings pits the two groups against one another as the misunderstood trolls want nothing more than to live in peace and quiet, while the vikings want to come in and steal their gold.

Created by industry veterans who worked on titles like Age of Conan and Battlestar Galactica Online, Trolls vs Vikings will see players diving into a mythology fueled world of tower defense across both the expected story mode and a multiplayer campaign. Both asynchronous (turn-based) and real-time multiplayer games will be available to make the game more social, while the game's story mode promises to take players on a journey through the year's seasons. As the seasons change, so do the environments, bosses, and enemies that will appear in each stage.

Of course, the game will contain the expected elements in the genre, like resource management, large (moveable) towers, and more, but we're also promised a "dynamic tile system, and set-piece challenges." Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait quite some time before figuring out exactly what that means for players in the long run.
