James A. Meyer Joins Wells Fargo Commercial Banking As Loan Team Leader in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jim Meyer, who has served commercial banking customers here for more than 30 years, today joins Wells Fargo as a senior vice president to lead Commercial Banking in southeast Wisconsin.


Since 2008, Meyer had been managing director and division head of The PrivateBank in Milwaukee. He began his commercial banking career as a middle market relationship manager for Bank One (now JPMorgan Chase) in Milwaukee. Meyer moved to Cincinnati for an opportunity with StarBank and then returned to Milwaukee for Firstar (now US Bank), where he worked in capital markets, corporate banking, and middle market lending. He then joined LaSalle Bank in 1998 and served in a leadership role for nearly a decade, including division head.

Meyer earned his bachelor's degree in business administration (finance) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his MBA (finance) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is active in the Association for Corporate Growth and the Milwaukee M&A Forum. Meyer is a past board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter and past president and board member of North Shore Country Club.
