Gameloft brings Uno to iOS, Android, and Facebook via Uno & Friends

Updated

Ah Uno, the classic card game that comes with simple rules but plenty of chances to cause heartache for your fellow players (all in the name of fun, of course). While it can sometimes be hard to get a group of players together for a game of Uno in the real world, Gameloft is going to make it a bit easier on everyone by releasing Uno & Friends on iOS, Android, and even Facebook. Uno & Friends will allow for cross-platform play, as gamers can take each other on either at home or on the go sometime soon.

Uno & Friends will allow for games among groups of friends or even strangers around the world, with weekly and all-time leaderboards keeping track of how you stand up against the competition. As you play, you'll be given the chance to unlock new backgrounds, card deck designs, and "special effects," the actual details of which are still unknown.

With a classic (and awesome) game like Uno, there isn't much Gameloft needs to do to make us interested, but it has released a trailer to further the suspense either way. Check that out below and make sure to stick with us as we'll bring you more news about Uno & Friends as it's released.
