Bring Your Own Office

In an increasingly mobile economy, organizations are facing a number of important trends impacting how work gets done; teams are more dispersed, collaboration involves people both inside and outside an organization's firewall, and pervasive use of mobile devices and social tools has made work less dependent on place and time. Today's reality is that traditional tools and services, as well as email and point solutions for critical business processes, are simply too rigid and complex to manage and execute with ease. Today's teams require tools that enable unlimited mobility.

Podio, a cloud-based collaboration platform, makes it easier for teams to work together by centralizing discussions and content. It provides the flexibility and control needed to create or modify simple workflows to suit any project or business, for truly purposeful collaboration. Podio users can bring their own office, and work with anyone from anywhere on any device, for ultimate productivity and responsiveness. Today, more than 200,000 organizations in over 170 countries have successfully shifted their work activity to Podio.

"According to the IDC social business survey, February 2013, 79% of companies have now deployed enterprise social software, with mobile playing a key role in the evolution of a more social workplace, said Vanessa Thompson, research manager, IDC, Enterprise Social Networks and Collaborative Technologies. "Cloud vendors need to enable this mobile workforce by delivering applications that transition seamlessly to mobile devices and facilitate ongoing collaboration. Podio aligns well to this transition, providing a seamless interplay between office applications and the mobile workplace."

"Almost everything you can do from a computer, you can do from the new Podio mobile app, so for me it's used all day, every day; there's very little that I don't do from the mobile app. If I do an account management call or I'm signing a boutique or I need to make some sort of update, it goes straight in, dated, then the office gets it straight away - there's no crossover, no complications," said Carlo Latronico, Miinto UK.

"Our new apps for iPhone and Android are optimized not only to make it easier to work and collaborate from a mobile device, but also to make it a delightful experience," said Tommy Ahlers, VP of Social Collaboration at Citrix. "The shift to mobile workstyles is reflected in the trends we see within our mobile users; a third of Podio's mobile app users access Podio from a mobile device as frequently each day or even more than they do from their desktop, showing that they are working on-the-go every day and using their Podio mobile apps to do it effectively."

"We are happy to now offer Podio in Japanese and Dutch, extending the languages Podio is available in to eleven," said Tommy Ahlers, VP of Social Collaboration at Citrix. "Since its inception, multi-language support was deemed a fundamental requirement of Podio because, as we all know, work is no longer a place people go but a thing we do - worldwide."
