Resource Capital Declares Fresh Dividend

Updated

Resource Capital has declared a dividend for the current quarter. The company will hand out $0.20 per share of its common stock on April 26 to shareholders of record as of March 28. That amount matches the payout distributed in all four quarters of 2012. Prior to that, the mortgage real estate investment trust dispensed $0.25 per share.

Over the past five years, Resource Capital's dividend has trended downwards. It paid $0.41 in early 2008, which dropped to $0.39 later that year and to $0.30 at the beginning of 2009.

The current dividend annualizes to $0.80 per share. This yields 11.8% at Resource Capital's most recent closing stock price of $6.80.
