Newcastle Investment Declares Quarterly Dividend

Newcastle Investment has declared a dividend for its Q1 2013. The real estate investment trust will hand out $0.22 per share of its common stock on April 30 to shareholders of record as of March 25. This amount matches the company's previous two disbursements. Prior to that, it handed out $0.20 per share.

Newcastle Investment is a habitual dividend payer, although its payouts have fluctuated significantly in terms of amount. Since early 2007, these have ranged from $0.10 to $0.72 per share.

The current dividend annualizes to $0.88 per share, which yields 7.7% at the company's most recent closing stock price of $11.47.
