ChefVille 'The Icing on the Cake' Quests: Everything you need to know

Updated

If you're of the mindset that a cake is only great when it's covered in a thick layer of icing, you'll likely be happy to learn that the ChefVille Cake Oven event has been expanded with the launch of an Icing Table in our restaurants. This Icing Table comes with three quests in a new "Icing on the Cake" event, which thankfully isn't timed. Still, we're here with a guide to help you get started on these quests, thanks to Zynga. Let's go!

Icing Chocolate

  • Place and Build the Icing Table

  • Craft 6 Chocolate Ganache

  • Give Chef's Service with Flourless Lava Cake 7 Times

The Icing Table can be placed via this quest window and unwrapped using three energy. From there, you'll need to collect eight Icing Knives, four Icing Bags, and four Icing Tips to finish it off. The Knives are earned by sending individual requests to your neighbors, while the other two items can be earned by posting general news posts to your wall.

When you finish the Icing Table, you can create the German Chocolate Ganache with two Heavy Cream and two Cocoa Beans per batch. It takes two minutes to cook.

Meanwhile, the Flourless Lava Cake is available to cook on the Intermediate level of the Cake Oven. It requires four Eggs, two Unsalted Butter, and two Cocoa Beans to craft over a period of six hours. If you're looking to finish this quest quickly, make sure to check and see if you have a Spice that could speed up this cooking time. Completing this first quest gives you four Flour, four Sugar, and 40 coins.

Expert Cakes

  • Get 10 Tiered Tea Trays

  • Craft 4 Whipped Cream

  • Bake 6 Black Forest Cakes

Once you hit this quest, the game expects you to have upgraded the Cake Oven to the Expert level. For the record, this upgrade requires 18 items that are earned via a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests sent to your neighbors.

While you're waiting to upgrade the Cake Oven, you can ask your friends for help on earning the Tiered Tea Trays, and you can prepare the Whipped Cream on the Icing Table using two Heavy Cream and two Vanilla per batch. Each batch takes just two minutes to whip. When you finish this quest, you'll receive two Heavy Cream, four Cocoa Beans, and 40 XP.

Cakes Far and Wide

  • Bake 8 Times with Vanilla Beans

  • Bake 5 Frosted Lemon Cakes

  • Earn 2 Mastery Stars on Black Forest Cake

The Vanilla Beans can easily be used in the Bundt Cake recipe, which is prepared over just 10 minutes. The rest of this quest will need to be finished within the Expert level of the Cake Oven. While this quest series isn't timed, there's another similar set of quests which is timed, so you'll want to make sure to upgrade your Cake Oven as quickly as possible to not fall behind. When you finish this third quest, you'll receive two Vanilla Beans, 70 coins, and a Floral Display decoration for your restaurant. Good luck!
