Greenbrier Names New CAO

Greenbrier has appointed a new chief accounting officer. The executive is Adrian Downes, who will also serve as a senior vice president. In addition to his responsibilities in the accounting sphere, he will also manage the firm's IT and tax planning efforts.

Downes has held a variety of finance and accounting positions throughout his nearly 30-year career. He was most recently chief financial officer and an executive vice president at childhood education provider Knowledge Universe, a privately held company. He also served in senior financial executive positions for numerous companies including SUPERVALU and Gap.
