Flextronics Strikes Medical Manufacturing Deal

Flextronics has struck a deal to manufacture and provide design support for Cellnovo's mobile diabetes management system. Under the deal, Flextronics will develop Cellnovo components, which include insulin pumps, cartridges, and touchscreen handsets. Cellnovo is the developer of the first mobile diabetes management system.

Cellnovo Executive Chairman Eric Beard said his company chose Flextronics for its economies of scale and expertise in the medical manufacturing space. The move is likely to make Cellnovo more competitive by moving its mobile diabetes management system to market faster and at a lower cost.
