Angry Birds, Cut the Rope meet arcade cabinets in the latest mix of old meets new

The folks at Dream Arcades have done just that as the company has announced that both Angry Birds and Cut the Rope will now be playable on their coin-op cabinets.

While a solitary Angry Birds machine might seem a bit like overkill, the genius behind Dream Arcades means that gamers won't just have that game to choose from at their local arcade. Instead, each Dream Arcade cabinet can house over 145 games, with additional titles being available as add-ons.

The best arcade games are those that are both entertaining in short sessions, but also addictive enough to keep players pushing quarters into the machines. With Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, it seems like both are definitely a perfect fit. Dream Arcades focuses on family-friendly entertainment, which mobile games are full of, so it's likely only a matter of time before other major games are given the classic arcade treatment in the future as well.
