Sanchez Energy (NYS: SN) reported earnings on March 7. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.05. The 10 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.15 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.05 for Q4 were 67% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.03 per share. GAAP EPS were -$0.03 for Q4 versus -$0.06 per share for the prior-year quarter.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 88.4%, 340 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 1.9%, much better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -6.7%, much better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $37.2 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.23.
