Slash shreds out a new take on Angry Birds Space theme

Plus, the first edition of Angry Birds is now available for free on iPhone and iPad. Returning to the news at hand, Slash--you know, of Guns and Roses fame?--wrote and recorded his own version of the Angry Birds Space theme song. To hear it, you'll have to download the newest update for Angry Birds Space on iPhone or iPad. Of course there's a catch.

Spotted by Pocket Gamer, the top hat-equipped guitar god visited Rovio headquarters to pimp the new track. And to commemorate the new sound, Rovio dressed its iconic Red Bird to look just like its rock 'n' roll hero. Given that Rovio has inked interesting deals with everyone from Green Day to the Philadelphia Eagles, we're not terribly surprised by the new.
