Sonic Foundry Appoints Renee Thomas Vice President of Marketing

MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NAS: SOFO) , the trusted market leader for video management and academic, enterprise and event webcasting, today announced the appointment of Renee Thomas as Vice President of Marketing.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Thomas brings an accomplished track record for fueling accelerated growth at top technology companies. Thomas joined Sonic Foundry last month after 15 years at Esker Americas, a worldwide leader in document process automation solutions in Madison, Wis. She spent 12 of those years as Director of Marketing and later became Director of Sales and Marketing, positions that will help her to seamlessly transition into her new role of overseeing Sonic Foundry's lead generation strategy, community-building initiatives, public relations and social media strategy.


Prior to her role at Esker, Thomas held a corporate communications role at Westinghouse where she led employee and management communications, events, public relations and collateral development. She holds a Communications degree from the University of Missouri and in 2000 received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
