Microsoft Acquires MetricsHub

In a recent corporate blog, Microsoft vice president of strategy and business development, Bob Kelly, announced the acquisition of privately held MetricsHub, a cloud analytics, monitoring, and automation company.

MetricsHub is a participant in Microsoft's Accelerator initiative, an intensive three-month immersion program for 10 cloud-related start-up companies. The Accelerator program is the result of the combined efforts of Microsoft and TechStars to support innovative cloud solutions.

A pre-release version of MetricsHub tools and solutions are immediately available for existing Microsoft Windows Azure customers. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
