Yingli Narrows Loss in Q4 and 2012

Yingli Green Energy Holding has reported smaller losses in its Q4 and 2012 results. For the quarter, revenue amounted to $466 million, up from the $359 million in the previous quarter. Non-GAAP net loss narrowed to $146 million ($0.93 per diluted share) from Q3 2012's red figure of just under $154 million ($0.98).

For the full year, the top line came in at $1.8 billion, which was more than half a million dollars less than the previous year's $2.3 billion. Net loss was $337 million ($2.15 per share), against 2011's shortfall of $510 million ($3.25).

Yingli said its PV module shipments during the year reached a record high of 2,297 MW. For fiscal 2013, it expects that number to rise significantly, to 3,200-3,300.
