The Simpsons: Tapped Out: Tips and tricks straight from the developer

As The Simpsons: Tapped Out continues to grow in popularity and in content, we've gone straight to the source for some tips and tricks that can help you make the most of your time in your virtual version of Springfield. The game's developers at EA have been kind enough to give us (and therefore you) a series of tips and tricks that you might not have thought about before, which are sure to up your game to the next level. Let's get started!

Collecting Money

If tapping on every single XP and stack of cash on your screen is eating up your time, simply tap on a quest or $ symbol to collect your reward and then wait 10-12 seconds and all of the XP and cash you have earned will instantly be collected.

Picking Your Quests and Buildings

Plan your quests and buildings to suit your schedule. While shorter quests and buildings with a shorter reward timer provide proportionally larger rewards, if you're not constantly collecting them then you are losing out on value. For example, if you have Lisa do a 2 Hour quest, but don't collect the reward until 6 hours later, that is 4 hours that have been wasted when instead you could have set her on a 6 hour quest and received a larger reward.

Donuts & A Jebediah Statue

Open Homer's quest menu and then quickly tap him 10 times to receive donuts and a Jebediah Springfield Statue.

Check for Bonuses

Certain items will add bonuses to your incoming XP and Cash. Always check and see what the items you are placing will add to your game play and plan accordingly.

The Conform-o-Meter

Pay attention to the Conform-o-Meter found in the bottom left of your screen. The Conform-o-Meter ranks you according to eight categories; Indolence, Consumerism, Tree-hugging, Vanity, Obedience, Gluttony, Righteousness and Socialism. You can check on your current rankings as well as learn how to raise your ranking in each category by tapping on the Conform-o-Meter in the bottom right of your screen (The Stars). As you improve this rating you earn a % bonus to the Money and XP that you receive.
