Weingarten Realty Announces Promotions
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Weingarten Realty Investors (NYS: WRI) announced today the promotion of Gerald Crump to Senior Vice President of Leasing, Miles Sanchez to Senior Vice President of Leasing, Mickey Townsell to Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Michelle Wiggs to Vice President of Investor Relations.
Gerald Crump, Senior Vice President of Leasing
Gerald joined Weingarten in 1999 and was promoted to Vice President of Leasing for the Central Region in 2007. In his role as Senior Vice President, Gerald manages approximately 14 million square feet and leads the Central Region's leasing, new development, acquisitions, dispositions and new development efforts.
Miles Sanchez, Senior Vice President of Leasing
Miles has a combined tenure with Weingarten of 14 years. Miles leads the Mountain and Western Regions consisting of over 12 million square feet. In his role as Senior Vice President, Miles will continue to balance and improve the existing portfolio while focusing on growth opportunities in acquisitions and new development.
Mickey Townsell, Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Mickey joined Weingarten in 2005 as Vice President of Human Resources, bringing with him over 25 years of human resource and employee benefit expertise. Mickey is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and holds a degree in Finance. In his role as Senior Vice President, Mickey will continue to align the company's human resources function in ways that supports our business goals.
Michelle Wiggs, Vice President of Investor Relations
Michelle joined the company in 2002 as an Accounting Manager. In 2006, Michelle moved to the Leasing department as the Director of Operational Analysis where she worked to streamline the analysis of operational performance. In her role as Vice President of Investor Relations, Michelle will continue to manage the Investor Relations, Financial Analysis & Planning, and Operational Analysis areas. Michelle is a CPA and holds a Masters in Professional Accounting Degree from the University of Texas.
