Vitera Healthcare Solutions Releases Intergy Version 8.10

Ambulatory EHR/PM provider continues product advancement; upgrades solution to further support physicians and position practices for ICD-10 success

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vitera Healthcare Solutions, the nation's premier provider of ambulatory electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software and services, today announced the release of Vitera Intergy version 8.10. This release includes enhancements to address many of the regulatory and financial pressures facing physician practices, including the ICD-10 transition, Meaningful Use and performance-based reimbursement models.

Intergy version 8.10 contains upgrades to Vitera Intergy's EHR, practice management, practice portal and practice analytics modules. With this release, Vitera will help physicians enhance practice performance, optimize revenue, and improve patient outcomes in today's ever-changing healthcare environment that includes:

  • The ICD-10 transition: The practice management module of Intergy version 8.10 is ICD-10 ready—making it one of the first solutions in the market to provide physicians with the tools they need to ensure a smooth transition, avoid payment penalties, and increase revenue and incentives from certain government programs in 2014. Enhancements include the flexibility to import the entire ICD-10 code set, or modify the import based on existing ICD-9 code usage.

  • Electronic lab ordering: Intergy version 8.10's EHR simplifies the lab ordering process. The new interface drastically reduces administrative time spent, and allows physicians to focus more on patient care. The efficiencies gained will help practices meet a core requirement of Meaningful Use stage 2, which requires that more than 55 percent of all clinical lab test results ordered by an eligible provider are incorporated into an EHR as structured data.

  • Patient engagement: The practice portal module of version 8.10 now offers family account management. Authorized individuals can manage an entire family's health records using one portal account. By simplifying patients' online access to information, Vitera is able to support another core requirement of Meaningful Use stage 2, requiring that at least five percent of a practice's patients are able to view, download or transmit relevant health information to a third party.

  • Disease management: Intergy's practice portal now empowers providers with the ability to create classifications for patients within the portal. With this functionality, clinicians can deliver valuable content specific to each patient's situation—such as nutritional guidance for individuals classified as diabetic—to increase adherence to care plans and improve the management of chronic disease.

  • Quality-based initiatives and reporting: Intergy version 8.10 includes significant enhancements to its practice analytics application, which will aid physicians in quality-based payment initiatives and overall population health management. Practices now have the tools they need to quickly and efficiently view, store and apply data as government regulations drive change.

"Vitera is focused on developing solutions that will help ambulatory providers succeed—from both a clinical and financial standpoint," says Matthew Hawkins, CEO of Vitera Healthcare Solutions. "Our product roadmaps and development efforts are influenced directly by customer feedback. The enhancements included in Intergy version 8.10 are a testament to this level of practice engagement."
