StubHub Adds Nebraska Cornhuskers to Fan-to-Fan Marketplace

Updated

eBay's StubHub is now the "Official Fan-to-Fan Ticket Marketplace" for the University of Nebraska, bringing StubHub's NCAA total to 26, and five in the Big Ten.

The University of Nebraska Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has decided to partnered with StubHub to create a secondary marketplace where fans can buy and sell tickets to Nebraska Cornhuskers events, and all purchases are backed by StubHub's FanProtect Guarantee -- each ticket transaction is covered with guaranteed replacement tickets or a full refund in case of fraud.

In the same deal, Nebraska Athletics has decided to work with Paciolan, a technology provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions, to better integrate StubHub. Whenever a fan purchases tickets online from another fan, Paciolan can reissue a new barcode, canceling the old one, thus marking a "seamless exchange of tickets," said eBay.
